# Media & stacks

The Media & stacks page allows you to manage the media connected to Pubstack and access their configuration. A media represents an environment on which Pubstack can collect data or manage monetization

## Manage your media

The Media & stacks page lists all the media available in your account.

For each media, you can see:

* **Media** — the media name.
* **Product** — the Pubstack product associated with the media.
* **Environment** — the environment on which the media runs.
* **Status** — the current configuration or deployment status.
* **Prebid variable** — the JavaScript variable used by Prebid on this media.
* **Actions** — the actions available to you depending on your permissions.

You can use the search bar and filters to find media by **product**, **environment**, or **status**.

Use the **More actions** menu at the top-right of the page to download the list of media.

> **Note:** Available actions depend on your permissions.

### View a media

Click the **View** action to open the media details.

The **Configuration** tab provides the main identifiers associated with the media:

* Media name
* Media ID
* Prebid variable

#### Connect a media to Pubstack

Open the **Connect to Pubstack** tab to access the implementation instructions for the selected media.

Pubstack provides different ways to load its script, including:

* **HTML script tag** — add the provided script to the `<head>` section of your pages.
* **JavaScript inline code** — load Pubstack directly from your JavaScript implementation.
* **Google Tag Manager** — use Google Tag Manager to deploy Pubstack.

Use the copy button next to the relevant code snippet to copy the implementation code.

### Add a media

Users with **Owner** permissions can create new media.

Click **Add media** to start the creation flow.

#### 1. Select the product

Select the product that will be associated with the media.

> **Important:** A media can only be associated with one product. This choice cannot be changed later without contacting Pubstack Support.

<figure><img src="https://3265651135-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FIygt0yNDcBUSLm7wjHAH%2Fuploads%2FZpfzYD2DnKkVZJwA8ZUj%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=bdd4bbf4-67b7-4b58-bebf-1c496ca1436d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### 2. Add the media

Enter a **media name** and select its **environment**.

Multiple media can be added at once by pasting a column from a spreadsheet or a comma-separated list.

Available environments may include:

* Web
* iOS
* Android
* AMP

#### 3. Review and create

Review the selected product and the media you are about to create.

Click **Add media** to confirm.

<figure><img src="https://3265651135-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FIygt0yNDcBUSLm7wjHAH%2Fuploads%2FVyfulUR1xeHgPpWjccQ3%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=bb6e4fe8-3c5d-4041-bb66-bbd1e4aed3bc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

A final confirmation is displayed before the media is created because the associated product cannot be changed afterwards.

### Archive a media

If your permissions allow it, click the **Archive** action next to a media to remove it from the active media list.

## Configure a media

When you open a media, Pubstack displays the configuration options available for that media.

The available workflow depends on two elements:

* **Product** — defines how Pubstack is used on the media: **ONE**, **Analytics**, or **NODE**.
* **Environment** — defines where the media runs: **Web**, **iOS**, **Android**, or **AMP**.

The product determines the main configuration workflow. The environment mainly affects the implementation steps and technical configuration required to connect the media to Pubstack.

> The available tabs may vary depending on the product, environment, enabled features, and your permissions.

## ONE

ONE is used to configure and manage client-side monetization. \

***

## NODE

NODE is Pubstack's server-side monetization product based on Prebid Server.

## Analytics

The **Analytics** product allows Pubstack to collect and display client-side monetization data from a media without managing or deploying its monetization configuration.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.pubstack.io/monetization-manager/inventory-management/media-and-stacks.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
